New guy from Minnesota

This is my 1971 Chevy Custom 10 Longbed. I bought this farm truck from a friend when I was 18. It needed a lot of work. I restored the truck in my garage by replacing the doors and one rear wheel arch and two front fenders.

After two years of body work, it was time to paint. I sprayed it with "GM 99 Hugger Orange" then put the truck back together.

After driving the truck for one year, I knew it had the looks but not the performance I was hoping for. So, I pulled the 350 engine and sent the block to a friend who is a machinist. He decked the block and prepped the lower end. I added new pistons, Edelbrock aluminum rpm heads, rpm intake, roller rockers, and a 800 cfm carb.

The engine now has 460 horsepower -- the performance I was looking for. The 350 trans was rebuilt and a 3000 Stall converter was added The 12 bolt rear end has 3.73 gears with a locker
