Exclamation has anyone tried spray on bedliner on a fiberglass top?

I just picked up my first 2wd Jimmy and the top is in good condition but needs a little work. After talking to a fiberglass shop they told me they could not get the texture to match the rest of the top. My brain went to work from there. Has any tried to use a bed liner product to coat the outside of a fiberglass top? I have not talked to any shops to see if the product will stick to fiberglass or not. If it does work I would think it would protect the fiberglass. if anyone has tried this on knows it won't work let me know.
Thanks
