Question Factory Height for 1966 C-10

Hello, everybody. I'm a newbie from Kansas with a suspension question.

I have a 1966 Chevrolet C-10 daily driver that I am restoring slowly but surely. The previous owners have lowered it (I think just in the front) and I am wanting to get it back to factory.

I have several restoration manuals and rebuild books and when I look up suspension they tell me all weight ratings but not how the truck sat from factory.

I'm also not even sure where I should measure from. In the rear, from ground to center of wheel-well it measues 27 1/4 inches. The front wheel well measurement is the same, but I think the front was lowered more as the the truck "leans" forward. Front bumper clearance is only 9 inches.

I do know that the rear-end is supposed to sit 7 3/4 inches from the ground and mine sits 6 1/2 inches.

I have coils-springs in the front and back and shock absorbers in the back.

I'm not sure about the rear but I may have to replace the front coils. Does anybody know how high my truck should sit?

I would appreciate any answers. Thanks!

Lon
