Door lock advise - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am needing some advise to make sure I am spending the money on the right part.

My problem is that the driver door locks but then unlocks when I try the handle, I put this down to excessive tumbler wear which causes the tumbler to move over the locking pin when I try the handle. So I am planning to replace the door latch assembly in a bid to fix this.

Has anybody else had a similar problem? How did you resolve it?
