Sealing Body Seams

I'm fixin to put seam sealer on my seams on the cab. I had to weld in new floor pans inner and outer rockers, floor supports, cab corners, etc.

At the bottom of the door jams you have about a 1/2" gap between the floor and the lip of your outer rocker. It's the lip that the door seals attach to. There is a seam there or a "crack", I guess you could call it, between the floor and the outer rocker panel. The floor is only attached to the outer rocker by 5 or 6 plug welds from the top side and a few stitch welds at the bottom of the rocker underneath.

Does this seam get sealed? It looks like it should be, but I don't remember seeing anything there, but then again, mine was rotted away... I think I'm going to seal it. Can't hurt...can it?
