Shipping Larger Parts ? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a few larger type parts that are for sale but being as how this town only has a UPS drop off and the US Post Office I have not posted them on the parts board. Would like to sell a core support for a 71 2wd Chevy and a front bumper from same. Have an interested party on the bumper but it is to large for UPS to take it. Or so the lady at the counter told me. How does everyone else ship these larger parts? Also no bus line in this town, small town America does have advantages and dis-advantages. Do I need to go to Wichita and check into truck freight style shipping? That can get cost prohibitive on some parts I would think for the potential buyer. Any suggestions are appreciated.
