Brake light switch
Hi; I have a '72. The P/O had attached a spring to the brake pedal arm using a cable tie. The other end of the spring was then screwed to the dash underside. This hookup kept the brake pedal high enough to allow the brake lights to shut off when the pedal was released. All this was done because the brake switch jam nuts had loosened. Well I have been trying for 2 days to get some kind of wrench or crow foot up in here to tighten that jam nut. No success! Must that entire pedal assy be removed to secure that nut? Or is there a trick someone else has discovered?
