June Chevy High Performance SB 406

This build-up results in 525 ft-lb @ 3500 rpm and 428 hp @ 5000 rpm. It is a torque monster with 471 ft-lb @ 2300 rpm! They used Vortec heads and a Lunati 00010LK cam with .480 lift...that means you can use stock Vortec heads from the junkyard for only $150! They used the upgraded Vortecs in the build-up but stockers will handle the lift according to every spec I've read and you are keeping it below 5000 rpm so there should be no need for those expensive high rpm components! Sounds good to me to if you already have a serviceable 400. This could be a real bargain build-up.
