Big blocks, mounts and headers

Ok, so looking into doing a big block swap into the '69 half ton 2wd.

Seems like there are a few options.

I've seen (think it was TXFireFighter?) had a thread about using 67-71 big block motor mount perches with small block mounts. Looks to give a good amount of clearance for headers but I don't think he showed any headers installed after bolting in the motor.

For about the same money you can get the tubular perches (from parts online or something?). I saw a thread here where someone else had used these mounts with a big block.

My main concerns are:

#1 Motor position. I'd like room for big valve covers and not have them hitting the firewall.

#2 Header clearance. I'm looking to run 2" primaries. I don't mind trimming the frame a bit but I'd like them to clear the mounts/perches.

What have you guys done with yours? Please post your mounts and what headers you're running. Pictures are a plus, we all love pictures.
