Rocker oil pressure
I just had my 402 engine overhauled (well pretty much). (1) new piston (cracked). Reman 402 crank kit, all rings, all lifters, new oil pump. The engine developed a lifter clack (driver side). I pulled the valve cover, and #1 intake rocker, and #5 intake rocker are not receiving oil through the push rods. I checked the push rods for blockage, both clean and clear. I haven't checked the pass. side. The others are kinda drooling the oil up through the push rods EXCEPT for the #3 exhaust rocker that one is peeing out the oil onto the inner fender. This is of course while the engine is idling @ 650 RPM (standard trans.). What should be proper amount of oil be at the rockers at an idle? Does this mean I have at least (2) defective lifters? I appoligize for the disertation, but I have to figure this out without help as I am all alone. No old timers around to help. Thanks...............
