Tire Recommendation

OK, I plan on ditching the split rims and bias ply tube tires that are on my GMC now. I am going to get plain white steel wheels, probably 16" (don't know if 15"will fit 3/4 ton). I may or may not be lifting my truck, I may because I looked at pics of Jims70GMC and it looks sweeeeet with a 2" lift and 33" Super Swampers.
Anywho, I am taking recommendations for a tire to get. I am going to be putting mostly highway miles on these tires, and don't care if they are louder or anything. I will be doing some moderate offroading, and I will need a mud tire for it. It seems a lot of guys swear by BFG muds, but I have heard good things about the new Super Swamper TrXus mud radial. Also, some of the cheaper (cost) tires out there (Cooper, General, Maxxis)...has anyone tried any of these brands? Thanks for the input.
