Just how good is it?

I have preached about California's Purple aluminum cleaner/polish and Oxidizer for years here. Last week one of the fireman was wanting to spend 400 bucks for some cleaner that would polish aluminum back to it's like new appearance by spraying the product on, brushing, and rinsing off. I told him he was crazy.

This firetruck sit out on the california desert for who knows how long and the aluminum was trashed. It is scratched, dull and none of the clear coat is left on it. As you can see from the pics there is a lot of tread plate on the truck.

I used the Oxidizer and Purple with pieces of shag carpet. I few places were so stained I poured the oxidizer (mild acid) directly on the tread plate and let it set for a while.

It came out pretty good imo. There are places that were missed and some places that really need some more attention, but over all and no more work than it was I think it came out pretty good.

You will be able to see in some of the pics the before and after effects.
