2-Piece Driveshaft

I am running a LS1 w/4L65E and a '72 rearend in a 67 chevy chassis. I am planning on using a 2 piece driveshaft. I have read all the threads on how to do it and am still not 100%. Looking at the engine it is going to have a downward slope, can I run the front driveshaft parallel to the frame back to the center crossmember then let the drop in the rear allow the rear driveshaft to angle up.

I know if you are using a single driveshaft you want like 3 degree down eng and 3 degree up rearend for proper u-joint lubrication.

I measured from the end of the trans housing to the center of the center crossmember at 15" and then from there to the pinion yoke at 41". Any idea if a late model 2-piece driveshaft would work. Any help would be appreciated.
