Brake pedal swap

I have a 68 short step and I love the truck, but the brake pedal has always got on my nerves. It is to high up. I feel like I`m trying to put my foot on the dash when I mash the brakes. I`m also going to swap out my stock bench seat for bucket seats and I think the brake will give me more problems. I`m going to be putting power brakes on the truck(it currently has manual). Is there anything that I can do to the existing pedal or is there a newer setup that would work.
