Lightbulb Shop Truck style work bed?

I ran across these old bedsides (only one pictured) and was thinking on making them into a SWB for my shop truck project.

Several things to point out:

I don't have a pic of both on it yet - that looks better

It's not centered side to side due to the lack of a tracking arm

It'll move an inch or 2 farther forward but still leaving a gap :/

I can cut out the inners to allow them to sit lower

I can add some sorda filler to make it fit closer to the back of the cab


What does the all mighty forum think?
