Changing out Torque Converter
Ok...
So after chasing down all avenues of... whatever... it looks like my problem with my 72 c-10 is my torque converter. It's just too small for my motor... gosh darn it! So... I have to put in a 2400 stall torque converter, and that alone is going to cost around $180 just for the frickin converter. Then, the transmission shops around here want to charge me from $250 to $350 to put the bloody thing in. Hell... it only cost me just over $500 to have the bloody transmission rebuilt a couple years back. I can't imagine spending that much to have a torque converter put in. With that being said... how hard is it going to be to put the torque converter in myself? Or... Who here wants like... 50 beers to do it for me?... Preferably drinking 90% of those beers AFTER it's done...
