Power Steering?

I just bought a 68 c10 custom for more parts (this makes my 4th truck...wife is getting a little growly) and it has an odd set up for power steering. It appears to have a manual steering box, the power steering box is not hooked to the steering box or sector whatever you want to call it, they run around the steering box and hook into a hydralic cylinder. This cylinder is hooked to the drag link which has a third mounting hole in it on the passenger side (one for the inner tierod end, one for the idler arm, and the last for this cylinder). Is this some type of add on power steering system for these trucks, or is this the way the power steering was on 68? The other trucks are power steering also, but none like this one. Just curious, never seen this set up before, I can't get photos to load up at this moment or I would post some of this.
