Re: Anyone want to kibbitz?
All of the shipping reports are starting to show up in my emai.
I have spent about $1800 but I have all the big stuff now. I will have to buy some smaller items still, but no more big outlays on the suspension. The final design came out like so: Front end: 3" drop spindles and removing one coil off each spring. Adding a sway bar and replacing all the gromets, ball joints, etc. I'll figure out the shock mounts when I get to that point. ![]() Rear end: 6ish inch drop. Have a pair of Firestone 2600s, bolt on frame notches, and a matched set from Porterbuilt including panhard bar, shock reloctors and trailing arms on the way. I'm going to run the rear bags with a 215 Thomas compressor, 3 gallin tank and manual valves. I hadn't planned on replacing the trailing arms at first, but mine have rust buildup between the halves. $400 seems worth it for safety and the arms Nathan builds just look cool anyway. ![]() Thanks to Scoti and Nathan for helping me figure this out. Once it all shows up I'll add it all to my too long quiet build thread.
