454 700r4 combo...Anything I need to know??

Good Morning Gentlemen!!

I finally got ahold of the 454 from my little brother yesterday. It came wrapped in a 77 3/4 ton 4x4 GMC. The engine was the original engine my mom's old 83 1 ton 4x4... So basically I'm keeping it in the family.

Anyways, I'm wanting to rebuild the motor, stock, maybe a new cam kit, intake and carb. So I gotta a couple of questions.

What would be a good size cam for it. I want it to sound like it's got some testosterone (sp), without compromising reliablity. Also, what size carb is good for my engine, and also a recommendation on a good intake would be great. I've built a few SBC, but am new to the BBC's.

Also, is there anything you guys could let me know to watch out for on this engine, and any tips on dropping it in my 70 suburban with a 700r4?? The 'burb is 2wd. Thanks for the help.
