Front shocks

I put a set of Monroe Gas Magnum shocks on my truck awhile back. It was a huge improvement over the 4 blown out ones that came on it (you could pump them with your hand). The rear seems to be fine, but it seems like the front isn't that well controlled. For example, going over speed bumps I get some bounce after hitting it, similar to how worn out shocks feel but not quite as bad. If I go over larger and more gradual bumps, it feels like the front end has way too much give and travel. Basically it feels like the shocks don't have the right amount of resistance to control the front end.

I do have a heavy half which has 3/4 ton springs if that matters. The part number was the same for 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton trucks.

What shocks are you using up front ? are you happy with them ?
