Opinions on Badges - Keep em or not

With my son wanting his truck all black, I'm considering deleting the badges both from the sides of the fenders as well as the letters on the hoood. Thinking sort of a "Stealth" look. Considering buying a replacement tailgate with no stamp on it. So what do you guys think? Remember we're not restoring we're resto modding this thing. He's only 14 so he's looking for more of a "cool" hot rod looking truck than a "cool" old classic.

Also wondering about the chrome sport mirrors that are on it now. Should I keep those or is there some other cool side mirrors that folks are using.
