71 C10 Budget Project

I was looking for parts for my 72 Suburban when a fellow employee offered this truck to me for $500. I bought it thinking I could use the motor/trans and put the Burb on the road as my daily driver. After driving it around for a few days I decided to keep it together and play with it a bit. I have decided to just make it a low buck project for fun. I have a lot of parts laying around the shop from my days of racing Dirt Pro Stock's and other projects. I have always liked the 67-72 style but I really don't know much about them. I kinda fell into the Suburban I have. I was given the Burb in trade for taking the motor and trans out of it and putting it in a Motorhome for my Dad. Oh well looks like the Burb is on the backburner for a few more years. My plan is to lower it tomorrow night and build a HEI for the motor. I will take a few pics and get them posted later this week.
