Chevy Autotrac Question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know this is a Truck site and I usually go in the old ones but I am buying a 05 Tahoe with Autotrac. Can anyone tell me about this option ? I have no clue. The dealer said it is a awd system that transfers the power of slipping to not slipping tire. I guess the front axel does not turn unless its required to?

Any help is greatly appreciated and if you can recomend a maintance schedule or tips I thank you !

So I am confused... Picked up the Tahoe this weekend. The spec page said I have stabiltrac and no mention of Autotrac. Can someone tell me what options I have? I attached some photos above
