Symptoms of High Fuel Pressure w/ Edelbrock Carb

Hello. I have a sneaking suspicion that I have high fuel pressure from my fuel pump to my Edelbrock 1406 Carb. I'm going to pick up a fuel pressure gauge and install it tomorrow, but I'm curious about the symptoms that this can cause. I currently have a no-name fuel pump.
