ART strong arms kit 67sb. Good or bad idea?

I am new to the board and have been able to get TONS of resourceful info. Thank you all!!!!

I recently purchased the ART strong arms kit for my 67 short bed. My truck has all stock suspension minus the lowering springs. Im running 500+hp to the wheels and Im wondering if this purchase was a good idea before I start to install.. not sure if cutting into the frame is such a good idea And ive been told that the stock truck arms are hard to beat. Can anyone help???
