Edel 1406 calabration

hopefully this will all make sense

I have a 1406 and live at 6000' elevation, I want to calibrate more for performance so Im going to use the 1405 calibration chart cause its my understanding that the only difference between the 1405 and 1406 is the jets, rods and choke, so you should be able to use the 1405 chart for more performance and 1406 chart for better mpg, so my first question is the carb the same with the exception of the choke, jets and rods and my second question is, why are the secondary jets on the different calibrations always smaller than the primaries, hope this all makes sense. By the way the calibration Im thinking of using is the 24 on the 1405 chart, thank you
