Anybody with faulty reman M/C ?

Today I replaced my booster and M/C. When I was bench bleeding the m/c I noticed the piston was'nt coming all the way back to the snap ring easily. so when I installed the m/c on the truck the piston was against the snapring. So I get it all 2gether drivin home hit brakes a few times then I smell burnin brakes, barely make it home front brakes are dragging bad. Got from autozone they said they'll exchange it just like some input before I tear apart. Could I have prop valve problems?
