gauge cluster

How do you remove the stock gauge cluster out of a '65. Im removed all of the surrounding screws from the bezel and removed the light switch, ignition, etc., but I am still only able to get one side to pull out. I have completed all of the new wiring except for the gauges and I find it would be easier if I just removed them.

Thanks
