? on modification of factory fuel sending unit
I relocated/changed the cab mounted fuel tank in my '70 short/step to the rear behind the diff. as many do with the blazer style tank. I'm using the factory sending unit/fuel pickup assembly I got with the kit. I like the tank application, but it only has what appears to be a 5/16" pickup tube for the fuel..... My question is has anyone out there ever modified, or changed the pickup tube in one of these factory sending units to 3/8" or 1/2", or is there any other options short of a fuel cell? It needs to feed a 460 BB chevy with 750 holley or bigger carb. and when I mash the pedal I don't want to starve it for fuel, especially at the beginning of the system. Easier to fix now, not later!
Thanks for any input
