Do you really wanna go hy po? It starts to get into that grey area where you might as well go with the 350. But then is that enough. After that you start blowin the drivetrain and when does it all end? If you have a 307 and it runs good I would invest in mods that guarentee long term viability Not peak HP.

Timing chain set, oil pump, damper , HEI and a MSD 6AL. and she's good for 100,000 more miles. If I was going to rebuild one for the sake of origionality Then i would still stay close to the stock theme and maybe...again focus on quality, blueprintingand long term reliability. Anything more and you might as well go...again with a 350, and will that be enough or should you go with a 383 , aluminum heads, headers ect,

Deside what you want to do with the truck at the beginning and stay away from those speed parts catologs or it will never end!
