What sbc water pumps are you guys running, long or short?

Did a quick mockup last night of the sbc in my 1950 3100. I am replacing the waterpump and pulleys and am wondering if i should go to a short water pump. Just a quick look without mounting the front sheet metal yet makes me think a long water pump might not work. I have a firewall with a 2" setback and my motor mounts line right up with the center of the mustang ii crossmember to get clearence on the hei distributor. Found a great deal on a edelbrock victor waterpump but it is a long pump. And yes, I know the pulleys are different for long vs short.

Thanks
