Tools to put on your Christmas list

Merry Christmas Folks from the house of Mr 48 Chev.

I'd like to suggest a few items to add to your Christmas lists for those who may not have them in your tool box.

The good thing is that all can be picked up at Sears, O'Reilly's or Autozone although I would probably prefer the ones from Sears.

A timing light, The good ones run about 60 bucks.

A vacuum gauge/tester A valuable tool on these older engines to test state of tune and engine condition.

A compression gauge to test compression on engines.

A digital multimeter to test the electrical system. Some have the dwell meter function that allows you to set the points.

A 12 V test light. The good one is under 15.00 even at NAPA

Those are the items that one needs to be able to check out his/her truck and sort through many or most issues with engine running conditions or electrical problems.

There are always others that a guy can use too.

Craftsman tool sets on sale. A great way to fill a tool box and easy shopping for someone who is buying for you.
