how to find the sending unit power wire

Alright, I'm trying to clean up all the wiring that came for the dual factory tanks. Fuel pump power line is taken care of. Now I have about 6 wires to choose from as to which could be the sending unit power. Theoretically there should be two. Last night I hooked the battery back up, turned the key to power, and tried all the lines with the test light. Nothing. Just to make sure the test light was working I turned on the taillights, I got a signal there. Anyone know how to track it down?
