I know this suggestion is the lazy man's easy way out..but hey the duct tape life requires that sometimes...I was at Advance Auto today and saw a heater thatt plugs into your cigarette lighter, it will work as a defroster, lets you aim it and gives you a little bit of heat. Even if your cigarette lighter doesn't work you could always run a piece of wire direct from the battery to power it.

Through a fuse of course if you go the direct to battery route.
