Question Home Brewed rear Disk Conversion question (s)

I am currently contomplating converting a Full Floting GM 14 bolt rear axel with drum brakes to Disk, to replace the "c" clip 14 bolt rear I currently have on my 83 heavy 3/4 ton (clifford), I want to do this on the cheep (if possable) and still have it street safe, I have all kinds of spair dana, spicer, and corperate front axels (8 and 6 lug) around to pull good parts off of and was wondering what I would need to buy, built and acuire to make this possable? I am a skilled fabrecator but this is one project I don't want to jump into head first without knowing how deep it is. thanks for your help
