Corvette IRS?

Anybody done or thought much about adapting a Corvette IRS assembly? It seems like you can find a complete rotor-to-rotor rear end at swap meets for around $500. Considering how expensive it seems to be to find a limited slip, and then get it installed; or find a posi rear end in the first place (seems like $300-500, if you can find them any more for a coil spring rear) I was wondering about all the bracketry to just install a Corvette IRS. Nearly all of the IRSs came with posi, and you get disk brakes, albeit 5 on 4.75 bc.

I'm thinking of the Corvette IRSs that don't incorporate the trans into them btw. I've run across late 70s and early 80s that seem to be inexpensive.
