4.3L V6 in a '67 GMC

Anyone used a late model 4.3L V6 engine in their truck? There are a ton of them on Craig's List around here right now for within my budget(ie..300 bucks or so and not in need of a rebuild) and my 305 V6 in my '67 GMC is driving me crazy, one part after another after another keeps going and the thing was maintained so badly before I got it that the oil and grease makes all the maintenance a absolute nightmare. Not having a garage and doing all of this work in a friend's driveway is wearing my patience. Not to mention parts for the damn GMC engine are impossible to find, never available locally.

I know most people go with more power but those 4.3 engines were used in full size Silverados throughout the 90s with no problem and I've had one in the past and towed a F150 with no problem and decent gas mileage.

I think the engine uses the same mounts as a small block 350 so maybe I could just get the 350 mounts for my '67 and hook it in that way..transmission mounts might be a bit trickier..would try to find a nice standard tranny to hook it up with.
