wrong size shock mount

So here is the issue. I bought a Belltech drop kit with new shocks. the mounting hardware they sent with the shock is the wrong size. if you look at the picture the left side of the mount that goes in the frame is 1/2" My truck is from Canada and the hole size is 5/8" The guy at KW Automotive who is the Bell tech rep says they do not have a different size mount. You would think that there has to be different sizes for 4x4 trucks or even a ford or dodge. there has to be more sizes. do you guys have any thoughts or have you had any issues with this?
