White pebbles!!!

You know how not too long ago I said I was going to take the catalyist from the catalatic converter out to get better flow? I don't have to any more. My truck beat me to it. When it is running little white pebbles fling out from the exhaust pipe. So my cat. is bad. Yay. That is probably why I got such a horsepower boost when I sawed the muffler off. The catalyist was plugging it up! That is why it rattles . . .

I'm hoping I can do all the oil pump and bearings check tomorrow in a hour or two. Might be too much to ask? The pan comes right off on a 2wd - no jacking or loosening of motor mount bolts right?

This really irks me: I got a new oil pump and the guy said the gasket should be there. It wasn't. So I ordered on and they gave me something completly different! We opened up another box, & it didn't have on either. They don't have a listing of the oil pump gasket at all! Kragens finally just gave me gasket paper and said to make your own. WTH is going on here?
