Man what a find, and it sounds like you have a pretty good list of future upgrades.
One thing I will tell you is this... it is only original once. The original paint... only original once. There are several guy's (including myself) that would kill to locate an original paint (patina'd) SWB like that. Nothing looks better than an original truck lowered with a nice set of wheels.  Any other rust issues? How's the inside of the bed since it had a camper on it? Again, congrats on the truck, and I hope that I didn't come across like I didn't like your plans. Be sure to start a build thread when you start working on it.
