Front end re-assembly...68 C10
I have looked around this board for some helpful input on front end re-assembly of my 68 C10. Aside from buying a service manual is there a place on the board that covers step-by-step front end re-assembly completely so I don't get anything screwed up.
I mean well, but this is my first complete frame off that I am doing by myself and I figure the more I know the better. Have all parts either new (or blasted/cleaned and painted) and could use some guidance with regard to re-assembly sequence, torque ratings, tips, etc. Have 2.5" McCaughy drop spindles with DJM 1" lower front coil. Also, I put a front disc brake kit with power booster, and a 71 drum rear end in it for the 5 lug conversion, and want to order all new SS brake lines...would I need front lines for a 68 power set up...and a one pc line for the 71 back? I am going to order the lines soon...I am sure the LMC people can advise me...but wanted to get some board input. Just want to get it to a roller status so I can move it better. Will definitely car hauler it to alignment/brake pros before I ever fire the motor. No death wish here. lmao Thanks a lot...I am not as mechanical as I wish I were...but I am learning. Tom
