'72 Burb K10 frame

Are suburban 4x4 frames the same as longbed pickups? How about the differences (if any) between 1/2 and 3/4 ton? The frame on my truck is pitted but usable. But I could probably scrounge up a good pickup frame around here, not so much a burb frame. It seems like a good place to start as I get rolling on my "rebuild", whatever form it takes. Here's a picture of my daily driver in happier times.
