Control arm hijinks

I need some more camber. I am 1\2 inch in (negative) at the top from 0 caster. It already has 1 1\8 of shims in the upper arms. So need to move the top of the spindle out 1 5\8 to get to 0 camber. So I am going to have to modify the control arms. I am going to leave1\4 inch for shims to adjust the caster. What is the oe camber spec? It should be slightly negative. I am concerned that an upper that long will put the tire into the outer fender lip. So a shorter lower/longer upper may be more practical. Any thoughts or comments? Jay
