Universal Alum radiators

EDIT: Atten mods, maybe I should have posted this in the 67-72 forum? If it will get more attention there, can it be moved? thanks

Ok, instead of stealing the copper/alum radiator thread, I am starting a new one.
Has anyone noticed that the universal aluminum radiators for sale in Jegs/Summit etc are a ton cheaper than the specific fit type? This is very tempting! I have noticed that some of the universal dimensions are pretty close to the 67-72 oem copper type.
Has anyone tryed a universal alum radiator in our trucks? The inlet/outlets are correct, but probably the the spacing for the mounting cushions are different?
It would be nice to know if there is a universal out there that has an acceptable fit, or what was done to make it fit as far as mounting and shroud etc.
