Parting out 1948 GMC 1-1/2 ton
The cab is in very good shape. One rust hole at driver cab corner (see picture). Patch panel included. Only other rust is on the interior driver side at base of windshield. Floor boards do not have any rust through. Grille was removed to repair dents. It needs to be re installed. The cab needs all of the glass replaced (cracks and delamination), passenger side is broken out. This cab would be a great start for an S10 frame conversion. That is what we were thinking of doing when we bought it, but have too many irons in the fire at once. Cab, doors, and any attachments like seat, gauges, steering column, etc $1,500
Front clip including decent GMC grill $500 or might split up Running late 60's (?) 6 cylinder (250?) and 4 speed tranny $200 Rolling chassis with later model 2 speed rear axle and working PTO hoist for dump bed $700 Here is the catch: The truck is at my dad's house about 4 hrs from where I live. He is 72 years old and will give you as much help as he can. You will need to plan pull the parts yourself. He has a chain fall and a big Oak tree to lift the cab off the frame. I will try to coordinate with a potential buyer to come into town to help, but I can't make any guarantees due to my work schedule. |
