Its not so much the vortec heads or anything, its the layout of the vortec fuel injection. The airbox mounts on the passenger side fender, and has a cold air intake style box that seals off with the hood there. The box is hooked up to the vortec intake via plastic tubing.

With that said, you could make something that could tie into that, but I don't have specific measurements or anything for what it would take. I have always wanted to buy the kit, but just now actually deciding if I am going to try to make it work or not.
