My newest find, questions and thoughts

As you've likely guessed in the last week or so, I'm on a feverish hunt for an interesting GMC. I found one in Alaska that, other than being a small block, might be a good candidate. There's no SPID, so I'm assuming nothing about its originality.

Then again, if I recall, you couldn't get a big-block 4x4 anyway, right?

I'd love to hear your expert opinion on this one, valuation ranges, and so on, before I talk to the seller on the phone.

What's the secondary shifter for? Low and high range, or 2 vs 4 wheel drive?

I had a 69 2wd 4-speed once, but the first gear was ludicrously low. Are they all like that, or how do I check to find out if this is a "good" 4 speed or not?

Thanks for all the help!

- Dave
