No ebrake rear disc

I recently purchased a 67 swb fleetside from an out of state dealer (iowa). I live in maryland and could only view the photos. The truck has 4 wheel power disc and stops outstanding. But it has no ebrake. The rear calipers look just like most gm fronts. The bracket doesnt bolt to the bearing housing, its welded to the tube. My thoughts are to cut the bracket off and start from new with a kit from a reputable supplier, at least i'll know what i got. Any other suggestions? I've seen the add on small ebrakes but i dont care for them
