Need expert advise on 68 and 70 front clip

[1970DAVE10]

I have a 70 C10 long bed with what I was told is a 68 front clip. I know it's a 68 hood and 68 grill. The fenders are hard to tell because he used filler to fill in where the corner chrome trim goes on.

1. Can I use 68 fenders with a traditional 1970 grill?

2. If I do have to change the fenders back to 1970 to use a 1970 grill, do I have to change the hood back to a 1970?
