V6 water pump on V8

I am installing a serpentine drive from a 1999 4.3 liter V6 on a
350 small block V8. Most everything seems to be pretty well
straight forward, including drilling & tapping the extra hole in
the passenger head. My question is, can I use the reverse
rotation water pump from the V6 or do I need to use something
different? If so what do I need?
The water pump will physically bolt up, but I am concerned
about the circulation. If somebody has been down this route
I would appreciate some feedback.
